Our long awaited ep, HOME is finally released on the No-Source Netlabel.
It features 7 wonderful songs, and it is free to download.
Thanks to Owen Curtin for recording and Lou Bunk for helping to mix.
Thanks, everyone, and enjoy!

Oh, well it turns out our band is breaking up for good. Sorry, we did not mean to do that so soon after our last hiatus, but these things happen. Our membership is dispersing, and this is not the kind of band where you just replace someone.
We have one more show on June 3 at the Abbey Lounge, and we are planning to record an ep of recent material that should be available this summer.
If you want more detailed updates, check our myspace page, as usual. If you go there, most of our top friends are past present and future projects of this band, including Abe's other current band, The Oh! My Gods, and Ben's future incarnation, Young and Old.

We'll leave this page up for now. Thanks, everyone, for everything.

Love
B4B

We have several Fun Holiday Shows this month. You can also see our myspace page for show updates and details.

Coming soon: Rockvember.
Which is to say: two great shows next month.
Also, we will be featured in next week's edition of the Boston Weekly Dig.
So watch that space.

How about that.

Two Saturdays: Two Shows

Yes, we have a few Special Events on the close horizon, and then maybe we'll get back to playing normal type shows.
This Saturday, 9/22, we are playing a night of Yacht Rock at the Yacht Club. Other bands on the bill include Boston's own Roadsteamer.
Next Saturday, 9/29, we are playing the Union Square What the Fluff? Festival.
Check Shows for details.
In other news, our song RUT! achieved the status of mp3 of the day on the website of indie pop band of Tullycraft. Pretty neat.

WE. ARE. BACK.

Yes! The hiatus is over, rehearsals are rolling, and shows are scheduled. The Brontosaurus is back forever. Check out the shows that we've got lined up for the summer, including our grand return at PA's Lounge, and an afternoon of pure Somerville at ArtBeat. Our album is still for sale in the store, and generally speaking, these links are working pretty well, too. We'll see you soon!

We are now on Hiatus, and will be until Summer 07. Thank you to everyone who made Phase One so awesome.
Ben and Joanna leave today for an amazing trip around the world. You can read their web log here .
Abe will be keeping it real in Somerville, and who knows what mischief he will get up to?
Any band updates for the next eight months will be at our myspace page. There are still a limited (until we print more) number of albums left at the store.
Please preview our record, and hear songs from the B for Brontosaurus American Standard All-Stars show here .
We will see you... in the future!

7/21/06

Only two shows left before we go on Total Hiatus. Abe is in Guatemala, learning himself some Spanish, but Ben and Jo are bravely rocking through the storm with the help of another Ben on drums (he plays guitar in an excellent band, the Double-Stops).
We will also be playing as a 12-piece band for our farewell show. Check it out.

Record=recorded.

We recorded 11 new tracks at the Concord Ballet in Somerville during the last week of April, under the sure and steady guidance of Kyle Bittinger, who produced our ep.
Updates will follow as the record comes to life.

Contest=urgent.

Snakes on a Plane Contest = Ultimate Victory! Help us win.
Ok, you say. But how?
It is actually very simple. We have written and recorded a song for the Snakes on a Plane movie theme contest. We need a boatload of votes to get to the final round, in which actual movie people pick a song based on merit, rather than who has the most myspace friends.

Here is how you can help. It will only take a few minutes:
1. Go to tagworld.com
2. Join. It only takes a second. Just give them the junk e-mail
3. Go to tagworld.com/snakesonaplane
4. Click on vote
5. Sort by letter, and pick B
6. Vote for us!
This should take less than 5 minutes, and could help us get famous. Thanks!

Movie Soundtrack Weekend!
The Brontos recorded not one, but two movie soundtrack songs this weekend.
One was written for the 48-Hour Film Project, in a fictional anti-communist PSA entitled Eat to Defeat.
The other is an entry into the contest to write the theme song for Snakes on a Plane, the upcoming Samuel Jackson thriller that is about exactly what it sounds like. Listen to them both at our purevolume page, and watch this space for Snake-related news.

Name Our Album!
With our recording date looming near, the question arises: what will we call this little creature? Help us decide by mailing your suggestions to:
B for Brontosaurus
57 Springfield St. Apt. 1
Somerville, MA 02143

Snail mail only, please. You really have to mean it.
Thanks in advance for your help!

B for Brontosaurus turns 13 months old today! And, as luck would have it, we have some exciting news! We have made a nearly confirmed date in late April to record a full length record with Kyle Bittinger, who recorded our ep. Details will totally follow.

And, we've got heck of shows coming up, too. Check it out.

If you were wondering, the Jonathan Richman show went fantastically well. Every band kicked extraordinary ass, we raised a bunch of money for the Somerville Arts Council. You may have heard rumors that Ben puked on stage due to a virus he contracted at work. It’s true, but it was not like a big projectile mess. He took a minute to recover, and with much support from the other musicians, Bronto and otherwise, the band finished the set. Rock and roll, everyone.

3/9/06

Don’t you go forgetting about our Jonathan Richman tribute show! It’s tomorrow night! By the time you read it it will be tonight or perhaps in the distant past. It’s going to was be awesome.

We’ve also polished off our press kit, so all you members of the media press can find out all about us and our band.

We had some complaints that our “magical” m3u technology was interfering with the awesomeness of our songs. So we rewired them! Ha, Tim Allen. Seriously, they are now average, non-magical mp3s. Don’t forget you can order a copy of our demo for very few dollars and it will include a handmade cover, which is something no internet document format is magical enough to deliver to you.

Show news is good news.
